If you’re a big fan of both Marvel and video games, this crossover list is bound to take your interest. In this list, we’ve got 7 of the best Marvel superhero games ever to make it to fruition.

This list of games covers a wide variety of genres, so there’s likely to be something here that takes your fancy.

Lego Marvel Super heroes

Let’s start with one of the most recent popular Marvel games; Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Just when we thought the Lego game franchise had been done to death, Lego teamed up with Marvel to create their best game yet.

Not only are you given the ability to unlock and play practically every Marvel hero in history, each hero has been given quirks and abilities that make them unique. Besides the fairly linear level-based campaign, there are easter eggs to unlock and other activities to take part in.

Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 takes the open world atmosphere that you’d expect from a game like GTA, but you get to play as spiderman. There’s a very exciting campaign that takes you from fighting your everyday crooks to going up against super villains like Doctor Octopus and Rhino.

There are also side missions that you’ll find whilst exploring the city and a progression system that allows players to choose which spidey skills to upgrade.

Overall, Spider-Man 2 is a solid game and despite having graphics that are showing its age now, (It’s almost 15 years old) it’s still one of the best Marvel superhero games even today.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is one of the best Marvel superhero games for those interested in building their very own squad of superheroes. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is an action RPG game that lets you create your own squad by picking from dozens of different Marvel characters.

Players will also be switch between the heroes they have within the squad to make use of their unique abilities and skill set.

There are RPG elements that allow players to upgrade and power up the heroes they have in their squad and a range of benefits for picking out squads that are lore friendly. For example, creating a squad that comprises of the Fantastic Four will make some unique bonuses available.

Deadpool.

Interestingly, the Deadpool game got a release before the super popular Deadpool movie. As a result, the game doesn’t pay any attention to what happened in the movie.

Deadpool is an action beat ‘em up game that makes gameplay smooth and straightforward. The real fun comes from enjoying the story and listening to Deadpool as he constantly breaks the fourth wall whilst you play the game.
Whilst the gameplay is simple and isn’t very challenging, you’ll still enjoy it if you are a big Deadpool fan.

Unfortunately, due to licensing issues, the Deadpool video game is quite hard to get hold of.

It has been removed from online stores and the only way to play the game is to find the original physical version for the Xbox One, PS4, PS3, or Xbox 360. There are still game keys available for the PC version on key reseller websites.

Telltale Games’ Guardians Of The Galaxy

If you’re a fan of Guardians Of The Galaxy but want a unique take on the story, you should pick up Telltale Games’ Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Telltale Games are now renowned for making the best story games in the video game industry. They’ve made incredible stories for franchises including The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Batman, and even Borderlands.

With their Guardians Of The Galaxy series, Telltale Games doesn’t disappoint. The game is considered canon, but it doesn’t tie into the elements of the movie series in any way. The game is available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, Android, and iOS and there are a total of 5 episodes to play through.
